I work as a remote math and English tutor supporting elementary students with both homework and skill development. I assist students for approximately six hours per week, using platforms such as Edi and ReadWorks to assign leveled tasks that strengthen foundational academic skills. I aim to build students’ independence by allowing them to work through problems on their own, stepping in only when they need clarification or are unsure how to proceed. In addition to homework support, I focus on advancing reading skills through comprehension strategies, vocabulary building, fluency practice, decoding, and contextual understanding. I also monitor each student’s progress over time, adjust content as needed, and provide constructive feedback to encourage confidence, motivation, and academic growth. My approach emphasizes patience, scaffolding, and engagement across both language and quantitative subjects, helping students feel empowered as learners.
