Project goals:(HVDC -Power System) 1 Study how do wind and solar energy compete/complement each other simulating different outcomes based on historical data 2 Optimize the ratio between solar and wind power to meet the electricity demand 3 Study how does this optimization affects the grid in terms of: a. Active and reactive power flows and voltage maintenance in the system b. Voltage and frequency control c. How is the protection design for faults in the power grid affected d. Technical requirements for connection of facilities
