* Organize and lead the implementation of the program's strategic directions The Priority research programme "Forest Resilience" (PEPR FORESTT) is an ambitious interdisciplinary researchprogramme centred on the socio-ecological transition of forest systems, in temperate and tropical areas. This programme is part of the France 2030 investment plan. Endowed with a budget of €40 million over 7 years (2024–2030), it mobilises the French scientific community around four challenges, addressing (1) societal issues related to the socio-ecological transition of forests, (2) the development of an agile, circular bioeconomy based on wood, (3) the adaptation and resilience of forest ecosystems, particularly with respect to mitigating the negative effects of global changes, and (4) the use of intelligent monitoring systems to promote scientific discovery and guide forest management and policy decisions. This program funds 15 research projects (€1-6 million), structures the scientific community, supports the Research-Development-Innovation continuum and strengthens links between science and society. The ambition is to structure and drive interdisciplinary, participatory and transformative forestry science, geared towards action and the implementation of innovative, long-term solutions that promote the sustainability and resilience of forest socio-ecosystems.
