Fajar J. Ekaputra currently is working as an Assistant Professor at the Institute of Data, Process, and Knowledge Management of WU Wien and as a (part-time) Postdoctoral researcher at the Data Science research unit of TU Wien. His research interest is mainly in the Semantic Web, Knowledge (Graphs) Engineering, and their interaction with Machine Learning approaches. I am also interested in applying such hybrid systems in various application domains, including Cyber-Physical Systems (CPS), environmental, and materials engineering.
I am conducting research and development in the area of Semantic Web Technologies and Auditability. This involves theoretical and practical tasks, such as literature study, ontology design, and research prototype developments. I am currently coordinating the FFG-OBARIS project (Ontology-based Artificial Intelligence Systems; 2020-2022), while involved in several other research projects: FWF-SEPSES (2018-2021), FFG-WellFort (2019-2022), WAW-VasQua (2020-2021), and H2020-OntoTrans(2020-2024). Furthermore, I have been involved in several successful projects in the past, i.e., CitySPIN (Cyber-Physical Social Systems for City-wide Infrastructures; 2017-2020), EXPEDiTE (Exploring Opportunities and Challenges for Emerging Personal Data Ecosystems; 2018-2020), and SEMCON (Semantic Containers for Data Mobility; 2018-2019).
Research on the area of Linked Data and Semantic Web Technologies; Development of ontology models and research prototypes.
