Currently pursuing Master of Molecular Biology at the University of Queensland. Having undertaken research projects, written papers and articles across a wide array of fields and worked at a path-lab during my academic career, I have developed lab/academic writing skills and a sense of open-minded imaginative curiosity that seeks thrill in working towards experimenting, learning and applying new things. I've been told to have shown a sharp work ethic in completing assigned tasks to the best of my ability, committing myself to finding ways around hurdles if encountered.
Ran tests on human samples through various kits and automated machines under expert training and supervision across biochemistry, immunology, hematology, and clinical pathology departments. Interpreted results of tests for specific diseases.
Worked and authored a research paper on an extensive research project where several samples of bio-plastics of varying compositions were synthesised and tested for their tensile strength, biodegradability, solubility, and antimicrobial activity. Illustrated findings in a detailed presentation and received outstanding response from peers and faculty.
Worked as an actor cast in a play for our annual college theatre fest.
Isolated and identified heavy metal resistant phosphate solubilising bacteria from a polluted lake sample and tested their ability to solubilize phosphate in the presence of heavy metals through various assays. Authored the research paper and presented findings to peers and faculty receiving an excellent response.
Studied and analysed the chemotactic behaviour of C. elegans for diacetyl in the presence and absence of inhibitor zinc chloride along with a group of 8 colleagues through a behavioural assay, and co-authored a portion of the report.
Authored a research article on the potential use of psychedelic drugs for therapy in the future and its proven effectiveness against PTSD and addiction through various studies after an extensive literature review, which was eventually published in the annual life science college magazine, Lignum Vitae.
