Fabrizio has more than 20 years' experience in managing and delivering international Real Estate high-end and complex projects across both public and private sectors. He is a Chartered Civil Engineer with an extensive Portfolio and Development Management background and is an APM Practitioner qualified with IPMA. He re-joined Lendlease in 2018 and is currently the Executive Director for the Development of MIND - Milano Innovation District (value €3.5bn) and Milano Santa Giulia (value €3.5bn) projects in Milan, responsible for overseeing and directing designated major urban regeneration development projects from conception to completion within established budgets and time frames. He is an integral part of the Senior Leadership and sits on boards, steering groups and Executive Committees. Fully accountable for the long-term success of the regional Development business and practices and opportunities and the overall contribution to the broader company goals. Working closely with Government Authorities, Municipalities and Ministries, Fabrizio has secured innovative approvals and provided specialist advice in re-writing regulatory guidelines. Before re-joining Lendlease, Fabrizio worked for Westfield as a Development Executive being responsible for one of the biggest Real Estate foreign investment in Italy such as Westfield Milano (value €1.4bn) which aimed to create one of the most important Europe’s premier retail destinations integrating luxury retailers with the best leisure and dining facilities with its 185,000sqm of GLA and over 300 fashion, lifestyle and leisure shops. Fabrizio also worked for Hines being in charge of important large scheme mixed-used projects such as Porta Nuova in Milan as well as major restoration of historical commercial buildings both in Rome and Milan. He has worked with various Regional Funding Institutes and brought Foreign Direct Investment into the Italian market. Managing Director of InTown srl - a wholly owned subsidiary of Lendlease which has a specific technical, managerial and organizational expertise in the development of buildings and other infrastructures such as Spark One and Spark Two (Development Value: +250mln€) which are part of the Spark Business District, the new business district located in close proximity to Rogoredo station, in the Southern part of the Milano Santa Giulia project. Spark One and Spark Two are two commercial office buildings under construction which will be completed between the end of 2021 and the beginning of 2022. Designed by combining technological innovation, wellbeing, environmental sustainability and integration with the territory, the two buildings develop respectively approx.. 32,000 and 20,000 sqm of GLA.
Project Director for the Milano Santa Giulia Urban Regeneration Development (Value: 3.5bn€ plus). The masterplan includes plans for one of the largest urban mixed-use city project incorporating a new world-class sporting and entertainment events Arena, Lifestyle Retail (approx. 70ksqm), Residential (approx. 2,500 units), Commercial Offices (approx. 100ksqm), Hotel and leisure uses.
Hold day to day responsibility for the management, co-ordination and driving of all aspects of the development process. Accountable for all the associated disciplines necessary to progress and successfully deliver the project(s) within predetermined time frames, whilst achieving/exceeding the quality, performance and financial parameters. Other key responsibilities: Programme Leadership, Anchor Negotiations, Strategic Delivery, Communication and Process.
Senior Real Estate Project & Development Manager, responsible for large scheme mixed use projects and RE Business Origination and evaluation within the Development Services Team. Key accountabilities: scouting, evaluating and developing new RE business strategies and opportunities to create value for the Italian and European Business Units leveraging on extensive knowledge of the market and business network community.
Responsible for the evaluation and analysis of RE projects and assets with relative allocation to the investment funds (Core, Value Added, Development). Optimization of the income and commercial aspects of the managed assets; implementation of complex RE schemes, fund risk management. In Milan, as Asset & Project Manager responsible for all the different aspects and phases of key value added office projects (design, construction, marketing & leasing, tenants’ negotiation and leasing arrangements) and the marketing & sales strategy of the residential products of the Porta Nuova urban regeneration development in Milan.
Portfolio & Project Manager for the Chief Programmes Office, in charge of 10 station refurbishment and modernization projects within the PPP LU / Metronet contracts. Key Responsibilities: Responsible for providing successful management of London Underground Limited (LUL) obligations and of the PPP Infraco contractors, PFI suppliers, or other third party suppliers, ensuring delivery of either assigned major project (or multiple projects) on behalf of LUL to meet the needs of its customers. Key accountabilities: Plan and manage major projects to ensure delivery of intended LUL business benefits; provide direction and supervision to assigned Project Manager(s) and supporting staff in accomplishing agreed project objectives; establish and maintain a good, professional and pro-active working relationship with Contractor’s project management team; stakeholders management, issues management, within agreed authority levels negotiate, procure and authorise all major project contracts and variations, approve and authorise all payment to meet value for money criteria; establish and maintain a highly motivated and dedicated major project team including LUL staff, agency personnel and contractors.
