Fabrizio Freda served as President and CEO of The Estée Lauder Companies from 2009 to 2025, leading one of the most successful periods of global growth and value creation in the prestige beauty sector. During his tenure, ELC more than doubled net sales, significantly increased market capitalization, expanded to more than 150 countries, and strengthened its portfolio of iconic brands through innovation, digital acceleration, and strategic acquisitions. A proven global operator and strategic architect, Fabrizio defined the long-term corporate strategy that guided ELC’s transformation and built multiple engines of growth across regions, categories, and channels. He championed inclusion and leadership development, launching the widely recognized CEO Global Reverse Mentor Program, now more than 700 mentors strong. Fabrizio has received recognition over the years for his leadership, including acknowledgments from Barron’s and Harvard Business Review. He was presented with Italy’s Cavaliere del Lavoro by President Sergio Mattarella in 2015 for his merit representing Italian work values abroad and was made a Knight in the National Order of the French Legion of Honor in 2023. Prior to joining ELC in 2008, Fabrizio built an impressive 20-year career at Procter & Gamble (P&G), where he held leadership roles across regions and categories. He notably led the launch and expansion of a hair care brand in Europe and successfully restructured P&G’s Global Snacks division, overseeing its turnaround and global operations. Fabrizio serves as a Director of BlackRock Inc., a role he has held for over 12 years. He also serves as Special Advisor to the Chair of ELC’s Board of Directors, Director for Société Familiale d’Investissements S.A., and a Board Observer for AB InBev’s Board of Directors. As of November 2025, Fabrizio and his wife, Maryann, reside in Milan, Italy.
