Reporting to Managing Director I was responsible of the origination and acquisition of investment opportunities in Europe getting in contact with potential local partners and I was incharge for the engineering and construction of the new renewable energy production assets. In this role I was responsible of the business development team and the engineering and construction team with several sites under development and construction in different countries for more than 2.5GW. I negotiated a number of Share Purchase Agreements (SPA) and EPC contracts. - My activity required frequent travels abroad for at least 70% of my time.
Reporting to Managing Director. I covered the activities of scouting, negotiating contracts for the acquisition of wind projects in coordination with the M&A and legal departments. During this period I scouted and negotiated around 1,000MW of projects in Brazil, Uruguay and Mexico with frequent travels in these countries. The two main deals I worked on are the acquisition of 8 wind farms in Brazil for a total capacity of more than 200MW partially under construction and in operation and the acquisition of a wind farm of 50MW in Uruguay. My activity required frequent travels abroad for at least 50% of my time.
AssoRinnovabili was the leading Italian renewable association which aims to support the production of energy from all renewable sources. I entered as council memeber becaming the Executive vice president. I led relations with AEEGSI and TERNA. I sponsored and followed few studies on ancillary market and on the impact of the costs of renewable on energy bills as well market's reform workshops.
- GDF Suez Energy International (former International Power) in Italy was one of the leading companies in wind power generation with 580MW in operation. Reporting to the Country Manager I managed all the renewable activities in Italy: Business Development, Construction and Operation. I was also member of the advisory board of the Breeze 2 group that operated 330MW of wind farms in Germany. - Member of the Permanent Consultation Committee of TERNA (Italian TSO). - Board member of the EWEA
