Medacta is a swiss group active in the orthopaedic market, with the manufacturing company in Switzerland and 13 subsidiaries abroad, for a total of 1.000 employees and a consolidated turnover of Euro 280 M. Reporting directly to the Group CFO and to the CEO/Shareholders, my duties are: - Responsible of Group administrative, finance and control department - Controlling department (and relevant budgeting process) - Consolidated financial statement - Extraordinary activities such as the incorporation of new susidiaries abroad, set-up of administrative departments etc - Development of ERP system and implementation of dedicated software such as Tagetik for consolidation and reporting purposes - Acquisition of third party companies for External Growth and the relevant integration into the Group - Management of internal projects in order to improve the integration among different functions such as finance, production and sales department
Owned by a US multinational listed at the Nasdaq index, Rieke Italia is a leading company in the production of steel fasting systems for packaging industry. The company had 120 employees, and with a team of 4 people I managed the finance department. It has been a broad professional experience where I had these duties: Responsible of the administrative and finance department Responsible of the Controlling department Additional to these tasks, I managed the following projects: - Reorganization of the administrative department - Fixed costs reduction plan and relevant implementation - Support to the US Head Quarter for the acquisition of a Company in Italy - Management of relationships with personnel
Sympak Group was an European producer of processing and packaging machines and systems for the food industry (7 companies in Italy and 13 overseas, with a consolidated turnover of nearly Euro 150 millions). I started as controller, then promoted as responsible of Administration, Finance and Control reporting directy to the Managing Director of the division. This role granted me the opportunity to make a wide experience on various topics: - to manage the business plan, budget and forecast processes, together with the relevant variance analysis - to manage the consolidated financial statement process - to define turnaround plans for specific division/companies - finance/treasury & cash management: relationships with banks and cash flow management in order to meet the Group goals - to manage the relationships with the private equity fund who is controlling the majority of the Group equity
I spent more than three years in auditing and transaction service (due diligence for acquisitions) activities. I have developed a deep knowledge of Italian and International generally accepted accounting principles (IAS e US GAAP), as well as Italian corporate tax system and the accounting treatment of extraordinary transactions (mergers, transfers). The clients where different by sector and size, and this granted me the opportunity to keep in touch with different controlling and reporting procedures and tools. I developed useful skills like consistent organizational, coaching and supervision activities.
