Fabio Pittalà is the Planning Manager for Digital and Photonics products at Keysight Technologies. His portfolio includes Arbitrary Waveform Generators, Pulse Generators, Bit-Error-Ratio Testers, Real-Time Oscilloscopes, Sampling Oscilloscopes, Lightwave Component Analyzers, Optical Modulation Analyzers, Parametric Photonics tools, Protocol Analyzers, and more. Prior to joining Keysight, he served as Principal Engineer at the European Research Institute of Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd. in Munich, where he worked across Research, Product Development, and Standardization. He actively contributed to IEEE 802.3 and ITU-T SG15, focusing on the development of optical interfaces for coherent systems. Dr. Pittalà earned his Ph.D. from the Technical University of Munich (TUM) in 2019. He holds an M.Sc. in Telecommunication Engineering from the Technical University of Denmark (DTU, 2011), and a B.Eng. from the University of Messina (UniMe, 2009). During his undergraduate studies, he was a visiting student at Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (UAM, 2007) and a Research Assistant at the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA, 2008). He is the author of over 70 conference and journal papers, more than 40 standard contributions, and holds 10+ international patents. Dr. Pittalà is a member of OSA and IEEE, and serves as a reviewer for several leading journals, including Journal of Lightwave Technology, Photonic Technology Letters, Optics Express, Optics Letters, and Chinese Optics Letters.
