𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭’𝐬 𝐦𝐲 𝐜𝐮𝐫𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐫𝐨𝐥𝐞? I work at Synopsys as a Silicon Validation and Verification Manager. I lead a team of engineers to perform post-silicon testing and develop characterization and validation methods for high-speed SERDES (serializer & deserializer) circuits up to 128Gbps, with great focus in PAM4 signaling and chip-to-chip architectures. We also support customer silicon bring-up, IP integration and product demonstration activities. 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐦𝐲 𝐣𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐲 𝐥𝐢𝐤𝐞? As an electronics engineering student, I worked as an intern in D-Orbit, an Aerospace start-up, as an Embedded Software Developer. Also, at IST (University of Lisbon), I was a Mentor in Summer activities to teach children and teenagers the basics of electronics and programming in a fun and uncomplicated way. After that, I took the role of Hardware Engineer at Visteon for about three years. I worked with several manufactures, including both luxury and large production projects. My responsibilities included hardware debug/design/improvement, cost reduction for electronic bill of materials, hardware-software integration and design validation testing. I also lead teams of other electronics engineers and technicians and created PCB analysis guidelines to debug several hardware products. As a firm supporter of continuous improvement, I have worked in several 6-Sigma projects and obtained a green belt certification. I also hold a Post Graduation in Project Management from ISEG (Executive Education).
