Led and executed multiple high-impact research initiatives from design to publication. Integrated in vivo disease models with molecular, genomic, and advanced imaging technologies to generate mechanistic insights into innate immune signaling in cancer. Presented complex scientific data to expert audiences at national and international conferences, demonstrating strong scientific communication and public speaking skills. Provided scientific leadership and day-to-day supervision for two junior researchers, supporting their successful completion of year-long master’s projects.
Managed and distributed live Drosophila strains for education and research, ensuring quality and accurate documentation of biological material. Engaged with customers to resolve complex concerns, leveraging cross-departmental collaboration to deliver efficient, customer-focused outcomes.
Established a method for precise organ size quantification during development, improving measurement accuracy and reproducibility.
Conducted a research project aimed to understand the developmental control of bilateral symmetry in the Drosophila salivary gland. Constructed a methodological approach for accurate 3D size measurement of whole organ mounts. Combining molecular, genetic, biochemical and advanced microscopy techniques. Funding was successfully granted by the Erasmus+ scholarship.
