B.Sc. in Chemistry at Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (1998), M.Sc. (2001) and Ph.D. (2005) in Chemistry at Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul. Pos-Doc fellowship in Laboratoire de Chimie Moleculaire et Organisation du Solide (LCMOS) at Université de Montpellier II under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Robert Jean Pierre Corriu (2006) and at the University of Miami under the supervision of Prof. Dr. V. Ramamurthy (2014). Is a Full Professor at UFRGS. The research is focused on organic chemistry, organic photochemistry, supramolecular photochemistry, optical sensors, fluorescent probes, fluorescence, proton transfer, and fluorescent dyes.
