Excelsus Structural Solutions (Swiss) AG was born on February 13, 2014 in Brugg AG, Switzerland. It further develops the activities of ESS-Belgium in the field of pharmaceuticals, food and chemicals. It focuses particularly on R&D projects in collaboration with the industry and the development of advanced industrial oriented analytical tools in collaboration with the Paul Scherrer Institute and other international research groups.
Excelsus Structural Solutions (ESS) belongs to the Excelsus Consortium. Born as a spin-off company of the Paul Scherrer Institute, ESS offers a fast and affordable access to state-of-the-art synchrotron-radiation-based characterization tools for organic compounds (primarily pharmaceuticals and biopharmaceuticals, but also food and aromas, pigments, polymers and various chemicals) for the selection, development and manufacturing of high-quality products.
