Circular economy and upcycling is the underlying theme in all our work. “Rubbish is a gift: we don’t see waste and unused objects, we see opportunities.” Becoming a circular organisation is quite a journey. We help you with a 3 year masterplan, built up from concrete steps, instead of theoretical schemes. Short term projects are set up to make it tangible from the start. By looking differently at unused objects, and considering these materials as a raw source, we create new circular, precious objects, interiors or events. All designs are personalised pieces, often astonishing and always surprising. We are unique in our practical approach guiding companies to analyse materials and procedures and show unnoticed opportunities. Through Upcycling Consultancy and Design we offer real added value by story-doing, not story-telling. Corporate social responsibility is embedded as a strategy throughout, a goal gaining importance in our society every single day. De Klimaatraad adviseert het stadsbestuur over het stedelijke klimaatbeleid. Tegen 2030 wil de stad de uitstoot van CO2 op haar grondgebied minstens halveren en tegen 2050 klimaatneutraal zijn. Tegelijk wil Antwerpen zich aanpassen aan de klimaatverandering. Een nieuwe, Antwerpse Klimaatraad zal de stad nu adviseren over haar klimaatbeleid. Onder het voorzitterschap van klimaatregisseur Manon Janssen helpt de Klimaatraad deze ambities behalen. De Klimaatraad bestaat uit 17 vrouwen en mannen uit de academische wereld, de bedrijfswereld, het middenveld en bewonersgroepen. Deze raad kwam tot stand na een selectieproces op basis van vooraf vastgelegde criteria en de verschillende leden zetelen volledig onafhankelijk. De Klimaatraad wordt voorgezeten door Klimaatregisseur Manon Janssen. 3 medewerkers van de stad Antwerpen vervolledigen de raad. Leden met impact, expertise en netwerk De leden van de Klimaatraad komen uit het bedrijfsleven, de kennis- en innovatiewereld, het middenveld en burgerverenigingen. Samen hebben ze veel ervaring en expertise in verschillende domeinen van het Antwerpse Klimaatplan 2030: wonen, mobiliteit, economie, energie, water, groen, circulariteit, inclusie, innovatie. Anders gaan denken en samenwerken Manon Jansen, de voorzitter, benadrukt dat deze leden niet vanuit hun organisatie, maar vanuit hun expertise en netwerk in de klimaatraad zetelen. De Klimaatraad kan en moet een belangrijke rol spelen in het activeren van alle betrokkenen, maar ook in het denken buiten de traditionele kaders. Om deze ambitieuze doelstellingen te behalen, moeten we anders gaan denken en samenwerken. Ik heb vertrouwen in deze sterke groep, ze telt heel wat sterke persoonlijkheden die bewezen hebben grote veranderingen te kunnen managen. Manon Janssen - Klimaatregisseur
In the Active8-Planet project we aim to research and experiment with unconventional approaches towards teaching and learning in higher education that would empower and mobilize students towards futureoriented climate and sustainability actions and enhance transformation of the university research and knowledge in planet-centred interventions.
