I work within clinical diagnostics at Source BioScience, supporting the development of diagnostic pathways across healthcare and life sciences industries. My work focuses on how advanced diagnostics can be translated into real-world clinical settings, from early detection and risk stratification through to molecular profiling and personalised treatment pathways. With a background in cancer biology and translational research (MSc Cancer, Distinction), I am particularly interested in the intersection between diagnostics, precision medicine, healthcare innovation, and patient access. I enjoy working cross-functionally with clinicians, healthcare providers, and industry partners to help bridge the gap between scientific innovation and implementation in practice.
- Supporting commercial and strategic initiatives focused on expanding access to precision oncology diagnostics - Contributing to the development of integrated diagnostic solutions spanning early detection, histopathology, molecular diagnostics, and prognostic testing - Engaging with clinicians, laboratory teams, and commercial stakeholders to help translate diagnostic innovation into clinical practice - Contributing to market mapping, partnership development, and healthcare landscape analysis across oncology and diagnostics - Leading on educational and thought leadership initiatives across the oncology diagnostics space
- Conducted an independent oncology research project investigating the role of PI3Kδ in the invasion and migration of metastatic melanoma cells - Designed and performed laboratory experiments using a range of molecular and cellular biology techniques - Analysed experimental data to evaluate the impact of PI3Kδ signalling on melanoma cell behaviour and tumour progression - Worked within a translational cancer research environment focused on signalling pathways and therapeutic targets - Presented findings through scientific presentations, poster sessions, and a written thesis - Developed skills in experimental design, data analysis, scientific communication, and critical evaluation of research literature - Collaborated with researchers within the laboratory while independently managing project timelines and experimental workflows
