Graduate of the University of Birmingham 2015 with a Bsc 2:1 in Applied Golf Management Studies at the University of Birmingham alongside the PGA. I am also a full qualified PGA Professional which was combined with my degree through the University of Birmingham and the PGA. I thoroughly enjoy everything golf related and I love the challenge to overcome obstacles. I'm extremely determined to succeed in a male dominated industry, during my University studies I was the only female on the degree course for my year. I really enjoy playing in Pro-Am events and giving other amateurs the chance to play in these highly respected tournaments. I hope to have a successful career in golf coaching. I enjoy coaching juniors and have a real passion for expanding girls golf as I feel I can relate and guide them with personal experience. I have been appointed the Lead County Coach for the P5 category for Derbyshire Junior Golf. This role primarily involves planning and organising coaching sessions for P5 throughout the winter and summer months. The main aim is to engage young juniors and develop them through the county programme alongside their home clubs. The role also involves planning and utilising a budget to the best effect in order to gain the maximum amount of high quality coaching for the juniors. Communication is a key area of this role where I am in contact with various coaches at different levels, as well as clubs and county delegates in order to provide a quality service.
Derbyshire Golf have recently been successful in gaining a grant from Sport England to deliver various get into golf projects within the area: young people, workplaces and the community.
- Organising Tri-Golf classes within local schools - Liaising with the P.E. departments to deliver the Tri-Golf activities within P.E. classes or after school clubs - Planning the time allocated with fun games, as well as the introduction to basic golf technique - Increasing grass roots participation and encourage attendance to junior sessions Breedon Priory Golf Centre

- Guiding prospective AGMS students around campus, acting as a host and ambassador for the University - Communicating concisely to parents and students - Clearly answering questions to a large audience - Experiencing how to present and conduct myself in front of many people - Giving advice and help towards prospective students, making them feel comfortable with their new surrounding on interview days
- Teaching the basics of golf to a group of girls during their P.E. classes - Learning how to control and maintain attention of a large group - Keeping the sessions interesting and relevant to the group - Time management with the amount of time for the lessons - Working with a fellow student to develop a programme where the student would gain the most benefit - Teaching of the basic rules of golf - Developing self-confidence in coaching and public speaking in front of the group
