About

As an interim CFO with more than 35 years of experience, I support shareholders in achieving their strategic growth objectives. Whether it involves executing a buy‑and‑build strategy, managing a carve‑out, or establishing or enhancing the CFO office, I ensure that every initiative is backed by a realistic and executable (financial) plan. As a former partner at IntegrationPeople and author of the book “Na de Handdruk: Integreren om waarde te creëren”, I have both advised at a strategic level and worked hands‑on in multiple integrations across the SME and mid‑cap segments, guiding these projects to completion together with the existing management teams. The finance workstream has always played a central role throughout these processes. Throughout my career, I have also operationally led several carve‑outs, again with finance as a key driver of success. In addition to my integration and carve‑out experience, I have spent more than 20 years in CFO roles across various insurance companies, covering areas such as cash management, annual reporting, stakeholder management, taxation, ICT, HRM, and legal. I have experience with US GAAP, French GAAP and Dutch GAAP annual reporting, including risk management assessments and (zero) budgetting and embedded value projects. Beyond my financial work, I volunteer with Over Rood to support SME entrepreneurs, and with Humanitas to help non‑Dutch speakers improve their Dutch language skills.
