I have a strong and demonstrated background in federal and municipal government including experience in executive level management, budgetary and financial management, contracting and procurement, collective bargaining/contract negotiations, and public and intergovernmental relations. Over the past thirty years, I have held positions of increasing responsibility with the Department of Transportation, Health Resources and Services Administration, United States Peace Corps, Government of the District of Columbia, City of San Antonio, and the City of Lubbock. My current tenure with the Peace Corps is in the capacity of Chief Administrative Officer for the Office of Volunteer, Recruitment, and Selection. In this role, I serve as the chief financial planner and manager with oversight for all financial and administrative procedures at the Headquarters in Washington, DC and all subordinate regional offices. As my leadership role has evolved, I have become involved in various operational aspects of the agency including regional office realignments, overhauling the Volunteer Delivery System of the agency, and serving as a Director appointee to the agency's Labor Management Partnership Council. I am a results-oriented and well-organized professional, able to handle diverse projects and efficiently prioritize multiple assignments. I have proven ability to work successfully with employees, supervisors, government officials, state agencies, non-profit agencies, the private sector, and the public. Above all, I enjoy my work in the field of public administration.
