ARNP and first assist with Plastic Surgery for Optum WA
Utilize nursing process to provide comprehensive care appropriate to the gerontological population suffering from mental health, behavioral health, and neurological problems with comorbid medical conditions. Accountable for the safety of patients and staff while providing patient-centered, evidence-based nursing care. Responsible for up to 46 patients per shift of varying acuities while managing medical health technicians and time to provide efficient and safe care as a floor nurse. Responsible for higher acuity and critical care patients as Charge. Focused assessments for patients who are post-stroke, post TBI, diagnosed with dementia, and IDD. Assist providers in differentiating between acute delirium, dementia, and psychosis. Additional duties include: medication reconciliation, generating treatment plans and updates, completing admissions and discharges, skin assessments with wound care, and initiating and discontinuing peripheral IV lines.
