  • Supervising Senior at KPMG
    Oct 2012 - Present · 13 yrs 9 mos

My current job is to consult with clients regarding transfer pricing issues, general and special audit on cross-border transactions as well as Group's profit allocation planning. Connected with KPMG international network of tax experts, I have assisted many MNEs and Taiwanese companies in the preparation of TP documentations, review of TP policies and TP audit defences. Currently, I am mainly responsible for most reports regarding the pharmaceutical industry, the insurance industry and security investment trust enterprises (SITE). I am also in charge of reviewing reports written by others in my department. This has taught me the nature of leadership and how to mentor those with less experience. Through this I have learnt to work with clients and colleagues with different backgrounds. I have also learnt how to co-ordinate ideas and suggestions from multiple sources and combine them into concise final reports. My experience at KPMG so far has also given me insight into the structure and procedures of the company; giving me an understanding of how to perform well in this multinational organisation. I have participated in a dance performance with the partner of KPMG in the 2014 year-end annual dinner. We devoted a significant amount of time practicing during the busiest time of year for us and managed my workload without fault. In the end, the CEO and other partners were impressed by our performance and awarded us with prizes for our hard-work. Because of the success of our performance, the Marketing & Branding department invited me to perform again with the CEO during the annual dinner for the four largest accounting firms in June 2015. Although March to May is usually the busiest time of year, I was still able to manage my time and both practice for the performance and complete my work to the best of my ability. In the end, the performance was another success that I enjoyed very much.

  • Fixed Income Analyst at Bloomberg LP
    Jul 2012 - Sep 2012 · 3 mos

My responsibility was to maintain the bond database by distinguishing work related data from announcements and uploading up-to-date news and information regarding Great China Bonds on Bloomberg terminals. This taught me to work fast and improved my critical reading skills. I was taught to differentiate important information and this improved my judgement and decision making skills when doing research greatly. The central project I worked on involved conducting research on the Mainland Chinese bond market; including but not limited to government bonds, corporate bonds, QFII and RQFII. I have gained essential knowledge and information on how China's policies can have critical effects on decisions made by foreign investors and the path the global financial market takes.
