Dubai, United Arab Emirates
I am an institutional investor, quantitative strategist, and educator who has come full circle—driven by a relentless pursuit of alpha in financial markets, human potential, and technological innovation. THE JOURNEY: FROM ACADEMIA TO INSTITUTIONAL DOMINANCE Starting as a Finance Professor, my work on asset allocation led to co-creating the Markowitz-van Dijk Heuristic with Nobel Laureate Dr. Harry Markowitz. That quantitative rigor propelled me into institutional finance, where as a C-level executive (CEO/CIO) I managed complex portfolios and led global institutional strategy. THE CURRENT ERA: ONE4ALL GROUP & QUANTIPLE Today I lead my own Family Office and ventures. As Principal of the UAE-based One4All Group and architect of the Quantiple family office network, I deploy decades of expertise to build, invest, and advise at the intersection of advanced asset allocation, AI-driven productivity, and strategic SME growth. THE MISSION: FIGHTING MARKET NEGLECT My core philosophy is 'Fighting Market Neglect'—finding value where traditional institutions don't look. I champion ethical finance, female founders, innovation, and the vast economic potential of Emerging Markets (EMFM) and BRICS+ nations. It is also a personal commitment: alongside paid mandates, I give time pro bono—mentoring, teaching, and advising under-served founders across the Middle East, South Asia, and Africa—because economic empowerment should not depend on access to old networks. THE FRONTIER: CHESS & ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE Beyond finance, I am an ICCF Chess Master and former chess executive. I merge this passion with my mandate as a strategic investor in the Lechenicher Schachserver (LSS) platform. Through LSS and our 'Man vs. or with Machine' initiative, we explore human-AI synergy—a philosophy I apply equally to business. I am also a believer in chess as a tool for youth development and cognitive growth. SELECT AVAILABILITY & EDUCATIONAL COMMITMENT While focused on the One4All ecosystem, I remain rooted in academia. I selectively take high-impact NED roles, making distinct exceptions for educational appointments that bridge academia and practical application. Aligning with One4All SME Training & Solutions, I mentor the next generation of finance and entrepreneurial talent in the UAE/MENA, with a special interest in Emiratization. I partner with institutions sharing my belief that fusing rigorous academia with real-world application drives growth in developing economies—through teaching, research, or academic management.

Principal of Quantiple, a private Single Family Office (SFO) based in the UAE. The Trust serves as the cornerstone of the family's long-term wealth management and legacy planning. ▪ Investment Mandate: Managing a diversified, global portfolio of listed equities, bonds, real estate, and alternative assets. ▪ Proprietary Strategy: Exclusive application of the Quantiple MVD Integrated Investment System (QMIIS), a proprietary quantitative asset allocation model built upon the Markowitz-van Dijk (MVD) framework. ▪ Private Markets: Strategic allocation to private equity and venture capital strictly through minority interests and bespoke funds, maintaining a disciplined, passive investment posture.
Serving as CIO for an exclusive, multinational syndicate of UHNW families from Europe, the Gulf Region, and the Far East. ▪ Activist Investment Strategy: Directing capital toward listed small/micro-caps and select PE/VC opportunities, taking an active role to drive value creation. ▪ Board-Level Engagement: Providing hands-on strategic oversight, frequently serving at the Non-Executive Director (NED) or executive level for portfolio companies. ▪ Impact & Alpha: Balancing aggressive financial returns with a strategic tilt toward neglected opportunities in Emerging/Frontier Markets, female entrepreneurship, and ethical investments. ▪ Portfolio Composition: Maintaining a dynamic allocation of approximately 80% listed equities and 20% PE/VC, heavily weighted toward direct deals.
Over this 16-year period, I directed high-level investment consultancy and family office management across Europe, the Middle East, and Emerging Markets. Operating through Compendeon, LMG Emerge, and ultimately Parmenion Group, I managed complex cross-border capital flows, institutional asset allocation, and manager selection for pension funds, UHNWI, and institutional investors. A cornerstone of this era was the continuous practical application and refinement of the proprietary Markowitz-Van Dijk Global Tactical Asset Allocation methodology. This period also involved deep specialization in Emerging/Frontier Markets and Islamic Finance, specifically addressing complex portfolio constraints and ethical investment frameworks for global capital. Parallel to my corporate leadership, I maintained a strong academic and thought-leadership presence. I served as a visiting professor and postgraduate lecturer (CFA, CAIA, VBA) and presented proprietary research—including studies on the Neglected Firm Effect and Shariah-compliant investment constraints—at prominent financial conferences across Europe, Russia, North America and MENA-Africa.
Operating as an independent strategist based in Los Angeles (Calabasas), this period was defined by high-level quantitative research and cross-border institutional advisory. The cornerstone achievement of this era was my direct collaboration with Nobel Laureate Dr. Harry Markowitz. Together, we developed and finalized the Markowitz-Van Dijk heuristic for Global Tactical Asset Allocation and advanced optimization techniques, culminating in our joint publication in the prestigious Financial Analysts Journal (2003). In parallel to this foundational quantitative work, I conducted specialized, early-stage research into the structural mechanics of Islamic Finance and Sovereign Wealth Funds. Concurrently, I leveraged my extensive European institutional network to advise US-based asset managers, strategically facilitating and accelerating their expansion into European and Middle Eastern markets.
