Experiences and Interests -- Adherence to Company policies with respect to the conduct of directional drilling and surveying operations -- Becoming thoroughly familiar with the Well Programme and the requirements relating to the directional operations -- Checking the accuracy and completeness of the prognosed well plots prior to the commencement of drilling operations -- Ensuring the rig site inventory meets the programme requirements and liaising with the Drilling Supervisor to ensure future requirements are available in good time -- Providing standard daily reports to the Drilling Supervisor comprising a summary of drilling activity, the drilling assembly in use, drilling parameters, survey data, equipment requirements, proposed BHA’s and recommendations for operations optimisation -- Directly supervising the Driller in the application of drilling parameters and practice to ensure smooth directional control over the well -- Maintaining up-to-date survey calculations and projections and working to maintain the well path within the tolerances as specified in the Drilling Programme -- Providing BHA design, supervision and maintenance expertise and ensuring that all recommended BHA designs are suitable with respect to Survey Programme requirements -- Maintaining records of drilling parameters and BHA performance during drilling operations to facilitate analysis at the well review stage -- Supervising hole opening, reaming and tripping operations to monitor hole conditions and prevent unintended sidetracking of the well -- Maintaining up-to-date records on all directional equipment on-board to ensure timely return for re-inspections, redress or over-haul.

The main tasks of my job are as below: - Confirm the well plan is correct - Ensure adherence to DRS and client’s Anti - Collision Rule policies - Review the planned drilling program with the rig site customer representative (the Company Man). - Responsible to seek and clarify the client’s priorities and objectives - Ensure the availability of sufficient tools to complete the impeding task - Measure / gauge all tools in the BHA and prepare fishing diagrams - Responsible for managing, organizing and general house - keeping of tools in the rig-site - Responsible for managing rig site tool inventory and coordinating tool logistics - Responsible for BHA design - Always supervise BHA make up/ break out - Ensure well control - Collect and record evidence and data to support damage claims - Responsible for tracking charges and equipment utilization for invoicing purpose
- Responsible for bit services with Addax, Perenco and Maurel & Prom - Make bit recommendations according to client applications - Follow daily client drilling operations - Inventory management for drill bits - Tracking POs from customers to get invoices submitted on time - Bit runner for specific applications (EZCase, EZReam) - Make Post Run Report and recommendations - Bit performance optimization review - Responsible for bit maintenance and dressing before the delivery to client - Collect and entry through the Webbits system all the bit records from customers
- Research on electrical breaking components like fuses and breakers - Evaluation of the influential parameters in the clamping of multistrand cables in the fuse holders - Design and implemention of test means for the study of the cable fuse system - Study of the distribution of the current in the strands according to the torques applied on the cable - Numerical simulation of the power cable fuse system with software Flow EFD
