As a Science and Business student at the University of Waterloo, I am pursuing a unique academic experience that will jump start my career with valuable coop opportunities that will equip me with both scientific know how and keen business skills. I am passionate about social change, and have valuable experience within the food service and health care industries in Canada, with lived experience as a caregiver for persons with complex needs . I bring strong critical thinking, leadership and collaboration to my journey, and am excited to continue to grow and learn.
Throughout high school I was on a variety of varsity teams including: basketball, volleyball, track, rugby and cross country. I was MVP of the volleyball team as well as my basketball team outside of school. I learned valuable lessons playing these sports competitively; team work, hard work, staying healthy and dedication were just a few that I learned.
Working at Tim Hortons, I learned a lot about food and health safety regulations as well as how to communicate with a multitude of personalities; both in customers and fellow co-workers.
I prepared and packaged a variety of meals to those in need. I learned how to maintain a clean and safe work environment that is up to health and safety code.
