Launceston, Tasmania, Australia
I am a Maritime Engineering student specialising in Naval Architecture at the Australian Maritime College, University of Tasmania. Developing a strong technical foundation in ship design, hydrodynamics, structural analysis and maritime systems. My studies focus on resistance and propulsion, applied hydrodynamics, structural mechanics, fluid dynamics and maritime production, giving me practical insight into how vessels are designed, analysed and built to meet performance, safety and classification standards. I am particularly interested in ship design optimisation, propulsion systems and the integration of engineering theory with real-world shipyard practice. Alongside my degree, I am gaining hands-on industry experience through shipbuilding and repair environments, working on engineering documentation, structural repairs, corrosion assessments and compliance with classification society rules. This practical exposure is strengthening my ability to translate theory into applied engineering solutions. I am driven by continuous improvement academically, professionally and personally. My long-term goal is to become a globally capable Naval Architect, contributing to advanced vessel design and large-scale maritime projects.
