Volunteer role within a primary school on Tyneside helping pupils understand the English legal system. This was done through fun interactive activities based on the TV gameshow, Taskmaster.
Secretary and treasurer in two different societies at Newcastle University. This has led to me improving my team skills. I also have a stronger understanding of finances including auditing my society and turning around our profitability in a positive manner.
I used my first summer break of university to undergo virtual internships provided on forage. Whilst these were of a legal and consulting nature, I was able to refine my skillset, apply my knowledge from first year and gain a wider understanding of various areas.
During this week long work experience period at the offices of Keolis Amey DLR, I gained invaluable skills, from reading and reviewing legal contracts from a legalistic viewpoint as well as increasing my knowledge about the legal industry. I also were able to take in a fast paced corporate work setting in the heart of London.
