Student Leadership: Organize and plan curriculum with practicing attorneys to instruct 60+ members of the Forensics program about the Rules of Evidence, Case Law, and performance skills in the courtroom. Create educational material for competing members as well as maintain a library of legal content and trial footage for competitors to learn and gain experience from.
Submit requests to Police Department Property teams to order physical & digital evidence on 100+ active cases and assist in locating & compiling evidence from follow-up investigations at the request of District Attorneys. Conduct intake of 100+ active cases by reviewing and writing initial summaries of Police Reports that are submitted to District Attorney’s for review. Coordinate with both internal District Attorneys and external Organizations such as Police Departments & Child Forensics Organizations for the purposes of maintaining records and collecting data spanning over 10+ years.
Communicate testing information to clients such as costs, necessary paperwork, insurance requirements and result turn-around time to ensure clients are well informed of process and require services. Maintain operations by registering and scheduling 1000+ clients for appointments to collect samples for testing. Exercise efficiency and discretion when processing and documenting confidential information such as registration paperwork, payment information, and testing results. Effectively utilized Chinese and Japanese language skills when assisting non-native English speakers to ensure clients fully understand testing procedures and information.
