At the Health Professional Student Association, my focus is on developing advising programs that empower health professional students, especially those from or aiming to serve in underserved communities. Our team's efforts are dedicated to shaping empathetic healthcare leaders who are well-equipped to address diverse challenges. I conduct research on the applicant experience and the impact of generative AI tools on higher education and admissions. As an Editorial Board Member, I merge my commitment to diversity and equity with my analytical and communication skills to enhance scholarly discourse in health education. Contributing to the editorial process, we collectively ensure that the content we approve elevates career development and healthcare education, reflecting our collective pursuit of excellence and mentorship.
The Student Doctor Network Review (ISSN 3069-1745) is a weekly online publication of the Health Professional Student Association (HPSA). The journal publishes peer-reviewed articles, commentary, and analysis on medical education and healthcare careers, with a focus on students and early-career professionals. As a nonprofit initiative, SDN Review emphasizes transparency, accessibility, and actionable insights for the next generation of healthcare providers.
I develop new advising programs to help health professional students succeed in their roles as doctors, dentists, pharmacists, veterinarians, optometrists, psychologists, and therapists, especially those from underserved backgrounds or want to work in underserved areas.
