The Mistaken Identity Foundation is a non-profit that provides Workforce Education Programs directed at urban, and formerly incarcerated youth. We provide our program participants with a viable means of combating issues such as anger management, body language and communication, health and other issues that directly impact the workplace.
Understanding needs in early childhood education from a public school lens after TFA corps years at childcare centers. Designed differentiated instruction, intervention, and enrichment activities based on Common Core State Standards, developed and implemented daily and unit lesson plans for kindergarten, track and analyzed class and scholar performance for a culturally diverse high needs student population, administered BAS and NWEA testing, member of Social and Emotional Learning Committee.
Teach for America Corps placement as a preschool teacher at childcare center on the west side of Chicago. Taught twenty 3-5 year olds in a federally funded Head Start and Preschool for All program, wrote and received grant of $9,000 for supplies for school, created unit and daily lesson plans while tracking and informing instruction based upon student's progress in GOLD assessment system, trained in implementing creative curriculum, conducted bi-monthly literacy and math parent nights.
