Develop policies, legislation, platforms, and programs that relate to barriers, inequalities of rights, and opportunities of veterans, and their families, with a specific focus on women and LGTBQ veterans of Alameda County - Ensure the County hiring plans, policies, and procedures are in adherence to Federal, State and County laws and mandates to hiring veterans. Promote and develop education, platforms, and programs in the county: veteran education fairs and assistance, veteran education forms and public health events and veteran employment fairs, and housing/homeownership programs. Advocate and develop policies for the County, State and Federal for legislation affecting veterans and their families.
