About

I lead supply chains where a mistake isn't just a cost problem, it's a regulatory or safety problem. Eighteen years into that work, the last six at ENAGOL Energias de Angola, I carry personal accountability for radioactive materials logistics while rebuilding how the company buys from 96 suppliers across five countries. The sourcing rebuild is the work I'm proudest of. We'd been buying through regional distributors for years, paying their margin on top of the manufacturer's price. I moved those relationships direct to source, cutting average procurement costs by roughly 15%. One negotiation went further: I secured exclusive Angolan distribution rights with an international manufacturer of PT/MT testing chemicals, cutting cost on that specific product line by 65%. I manage an SCM budget of up to USD 1.2M and inventory exceeding USD 2.05M, leading 8 direct reports and coordinating 115 professionals across workshop, maintenance, and logistics. When regional supply disruptions threatened business continuity, I kept critical inventory, including radioactive materials, moving without interruption. In parallel, I negotiate a USD 200K credit facility with a leading global NDT equipment manufacturer for priority equipment access and specialist technical training, turning a transactional supplier relationship into a long-term strategic partnership that strengthened our operational resilience. A lot of what makes that work is unglamorous: keeping ERP settings and Item Master Attributes clean, running OTIF and SLA reviews on schedule, and tracking Managing Daily Improvement (MDI) protocols across 96 suppliers, because that is usually where financial variances hide. Before ENAGOL, I spent close to a decade at Toyota de Angola running warehouse logistics for a 1.500 vehicle operation, where a Lean and 5S implementation cut delivery turnaround from three days to one with zero asset damage or theft. In between, I spent two years consulting on HSE and HR infrastructure for a private aviation client and founded a social housing construction initiative. I'm a certified Radiation Protection Officer (Portugal) and HSE Manager (South Africa), and I'm pursuing CPIM/APICS certification. My first degree, in Social and Organizational Psychology, is a big part of why coordinating 115 people across functions holds together. Based in Luanda. Open to conversations about supply chain, procurement, and industrial operations leadership across Africa and beyond.
