I’m a first-generation Mexican American from Tucson, Arizona, and the first in my family to go to college. That experience continues to shape how I lead, how I listen, and how I build bridges between communities and systems that don’t often speak to each other. I live in Barcelona and work across Europe and the U.S. as Head of Operations & Global Partnerships at the GliaNet Alliance. I focus on bringing people together across sectors, borders, and disciplines to co-create a more ethical digital future. My work blends strategy, operations, and facilitation, always grounded in trust and inclusion. My academic background includes a Master’s in Human Rights Practice and two undergraduate degrees: one in Environmental & Water Resource Economics and one in Political Science with a Foreign Affairs emphasis, plus a minor in Spanish. This mix helps me think in systems, act with intention, and keep people at the center of complex work. As Head of Secretariat, I help run the IAAA, clarifying its purpose and priorities, growing membership, and building partnerships with key stakeholders. I manage the community of practice and the core documentation that supports how we operate, as well as coordinate the rhythm of engagement across members and experts. I also run communications and feedback loops, support outreach, and help develop learning resources and training.
- Owned end-to-end execution for executive account management at scale with over 12 project implementations, 4 held concurrently, by developing project plans and communication strategies, building timelines, defining milestones, and outlining tasks for stakeholders, achieving 100% on-time project delivery. - Designed success metrics using data analysis and business insights from large end-user data sets, including survey results and program feedback, for 13 executive programs serving over 1K+ participants, making implementation recommendations to key stakeholders. - Managed relationships with diverse stakeholders to enhance program support and continuous improvement at scale. Accountable for client engagement, comprehensive data collection and analysis of participant and facilitator metrics, and meticulous program implementation, management, and reporting, ensuring alignment of product and service with client needs.
- Effectively coordinated and managed the posting of job opportunities and job assignments of Circles Guides to client programs, ensuring efficient global scheduling. - Managed communication platform on slack, cultivating a positive & collaborative community environment, resulting in a 30% increase in community engagement & member interaction. - Acted as a key liaison between the Guide community & the company, effectively conveying insights & feedback to relevant teams, contributing to a 50% improvement in Guide-related processes. - Managed and verified invoices, ensuring accurate and timely payment, which enhanced financial reliability & trust within the community.
- As a Circles Certified Guide I mastered the art of facilitation based on the 3T foundations (Psychological Safety, Accountability, & Shared Purpose), ensuring a safe & productive environment for peer learning. As a facilitator for various team meetings as well as future prospects, I played a pivotal role in fostering deep relationships in small groups, ensuring every voice was heard, and diverse experiences were valued in a virtual setting. - Completed extensive training, enhancing facilitation skills and effectively applying structured and emergent techniques for peer learning.
Through the 'North American Language and Culture Assistant' program I served as a Cultural Ambassador offering English language support to teachers in Spain. Worked 20 hours per week as a primary school English language assistant. This role required creating class material for supportive assistance during weekly English lessons.
Academic Researcher for the School of Natural Resources and the Environment at the University of Arizona, working with the Lopez-Hoffman Research Lab on a project that aims to develop strategies to increase adaptive capacity in Southwestern rangeland communities. Additional projects undertaken by the research lab work on striving to enhance ecological and socio-economic resilience in southwestern rangeland communities in the face of climate change.
