I am a physician-scientist with dual training in medicine and clinical nutrition, currently pursuing a PhD at Aston University. My career is defined by a "bench-to-bedside" approach, moving from experimental laboratory studies to managing Phase II-IV clinical trials. Currently, my research focuses on the association between lipid profiles and coronary artery morphology. By integrating AI-driven analysis and advanced CTCA imaging, I am working to develop ethnic-specific predictive models that address the disproportionate risk of coronary artery disease in South Asian populations. This work directly supports the NHS Long Term Plan to reduce health inequalities through data-driven precision medicine. My background includes: - Clinical Excellence: Experience as a General Practitioner and specialist in aesthetic medicine, running a private practice focused on advanced dermatological care. - Research Leadership: Expertise in clinical trial coordination, protocol development, and regulatory compliance (GCP certified) across 10+ studies. - Academic Foundation: MSc in Clinical Nutrition from the University of Nottingham, with a research focus on nutritional interventions for vascular health. I am bilingual (English/Spanish) and have lived in Mexico, Spain, and the UK, which allows me to bring a global, culturally competent perspective to clinical recruitment and community engagement. I am driven by a lifelong passion for scientific inquiry and a commitment to advancing medical knowledge for underserved communities.
I am a physician-scientist and PhD researcher at Aston University dedicated to reducing health inequities in cardiovascular care. My doctoral research focuses on the association between lipid profiles and coronary artery morphology, specifically investigating why South Asian populations face a significantly higher risk of coronary artery disease compared to White Europeans.
I help clients achieve better health by guiding them toward informed, personalized food choices aligned with their unique needs.
