Stakeholder engagement and alliances for PACS Mexico, including government, sugarcane associations, NGOs, enterprises and commercial chambers on topics such as sustainable agriculture, ingredients protection and local sourcing. Responsible for the governance of the "Campo Mexicano" projects, including interactions with bottlers, technical team, sustainability areas, procurement and human rights. This position also promotes and protects corporate reputation through our brands in juice, milk and plant based beverages categories. Main Achievements: -Aligned and led The Coca-Cola System to purchase $18,500 million MXN (approx. $1 billion USD) sustainable local-sourced ingredients in 2019, representing a 25% increase compared to 2018. -Prepared messages and a stakeholders engagement plan within the "Value Chain Corridor" to position Coca-Cola as one of the main allies of farmers and sustainable agriculture, increasing our corporate reputation and giving an edge to our Jugos del Valle and Santa Clara brands. -Implemented a series of grassroots workshops with sugarcane organizations.
Direction of the SNITT (National System for Research and Technology Transfer at the Secretary of Agriculture), responsible institution in Mexico of the coordination of Agricultural policy of research, innovation and technology transfer in public / private organizations, universities and the Congress of the Union under a "golden triangle" approach. Main Achievements: • Alignment and co-creation of the "Mexican Agri-business Agenda" to focus and maximize the use of more than $2,500 million MXN (approx. $125 million USD) in public grants from the Secretary of Agriculture. • Inspire of a team of 16 diverse agriculture professionals and manage an annual budget of $20 million MXN (approx. $1 million USD) with variations of less than 1%. • Development of a strategy map with performance indicators to comply with the institutional Key Performance Indicator Matrix (MIR) for the 2016 and 2017 periods, exceeding expectations. • Workshop creation to align national projects for key stakeholder groups and chambers, such as local and transnational enterprises, National Agrobusiness Council (CNA), Sugarcane Sustainable Development Committee (CONADESUCA), Sugar and Alcohol National Industry Chamber (CNIAA) and sugarcane organizations.
Project Manager Officer for the initiation, planning, execution/control, and conclusion of a 24 project portfolio for Latin America North. The projects included chemistry, biotechnology, continuous improvement and strategic projects under the PMBOK International Standard created by the Project Management Institute. Main Achievements: • Develop the first formal project management process for Latin America North to align objectives between areas of the company and obtain the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification. • Coach 2 direct reports to improve the lead time (50% reduction) in dossier preparation and delivery to the Federal Commission for the Protection against Sanitary Risks (COFEPRIS) in order to obtain sanitary registers for new chemistry products. • Budget control of more than $70 million MXN (approx. $3.5 million USD) to advance the project portfolio, reporting directly to the USA HQ (St. Louis, MO) with variations of no more than 5% annually. • Acknowledgement for the data management in a scientific paper on pollen flow for GMO Corn in PLOS One (see link). • Graduated from the company´s High-Potential program "Local Leadership Exchange” for Latin America North.
Project management for the launch of GMO corn in Mexico, including task planning, budget control and regulatory compliance. Also, management of stakeholder engagement with the Secretary of Agriculture (SAGARPA), Secretary of Environment (SEMARNAT) and the Federal Commission for the Protection against Sanitary Risks (COFEPRIS) to comply with information requests and regulations. Main Achievements: • Created and implemented "standardized operating procedures" to maintain a 100% compliance, fine-free execution, to advance biotechnology corn permits in the northern region of Mexico. • “Rookie of the Year” nomination for the North America Region, recognizing the leadership in the Sinaloa Corn Project, being a the link between México and USA teams to fulfill requirements in a record time. • Planning, control, and execution of a $25 million MXN budget (approx. $1.2 million USD) for biotech corn projects with an annual variation of no more than 9%.
