I have recently graduated summa cum laude from Northeastern University with a B.S. in Computer Science and completing a minor in Business Administration. I'm excited to pursue a Master of Science in Health Care Analytics at Carnegie Mellon University - Heinz College. As I head into the start of my career, I'm dedicated to making a lasting impact in the healthcare industry. I'm looking forward to collaborating with passionate, like-minded individuals to discover a solution to improve the lives of those in need. Currently, I'm expanding my efforts to not only improve my skills and knowledge of software development practices (through both academic and independent projects) but also to learn and discover the capabilities of Python and different libraries through a data science lens. My previous software projects have reinforced my expertise in logical reasoning, debugging, proper documentation, and design patterns. During the past fall semester, I was a teaching assistant for Fundamentals of Software Engineering, which reinforced my knowledge of design patterns and best software practices, such as creating pull requests and testing practices. I've worked as a Software Developer Co-op at Verisk in 2023 and 2024, automating the sending of email summaries, improving logic for existing metrics, conducting research on the most accurate representation of a metric using data science libraries, creating cloud services, and testing extensively.
- Facilitating weekly e-board meetings and contributing to future plans - Organized and oversaw the NUWIT Annual Website Hack Day, coordinating and presenting the curriculum, catering, sponsorship, and attracting over 60 attendees - Overseeing and troubleshooting responsibilities for website updates and slack communication
- Update and maintain the club website to provide relevant information on upcoming meetings and events (adding events to the calendar, pictures to the gallery, and sponsorship information as needed) - Organizes tech workshops such as the annual Website Hack Day which leads club members through the process of creating a website from the groun-up (beginner-friendly). - Assist with IT help, meeting set-up, and recording of meetings
- Performed exploratory data analysis with NumPy and Pandas, researching binary classification methods for optimization - Contributed to early data needs in fast-paced startup environment through independent learning and trial-and-error
- Attending lectures to assist in in-class activities based in Typescript and React, completing activities before class - Hosting office hours to answer questions and reinforce understanding of course material - Grading homework assignments around software practices such as user stories, UI designs, and testing practices for a section of 80 undergraduates
- Developed in a full-stack environment, utilizing React, C#, and SQL Server, to create a new team metric - Improved logic of an existing metric for increased accuracy in data capturing and calculation processes - Automated sending emails to scrum masters and persisting data in SQL server by implementing and scheduling PowerShell scripts, through Windows Task Scheduler - Conducting data analysis in Python to determine the most accurate representation of data, and presenting the findings to my team
