Acquiring and executing advisory projects at the international consultancy agency of Michael Braungart that developed the Cradle to Cradle innovation platform. Developing and applying tools in strategic and hands-on innovation projects. Results include co-developing a circular building for Schiphol Real Estate, defining optimizations for Hydro Wicona products to increase recycling of elastomers, developing recycling strategies for natural latex products with amongst others Radium Foam and Auping, and developing a circular design for a bed for Veldeman. Responsible for a key account of EPEA Nederland, and managing international multi-discipinary teams.
Within the spin-off Algaebiotech, I guided product development projects in collaboration with external partners and internal R&D and Marketing. Initiating international partnerships, developing market insights and managing the development and testing of prototypes of products made from micro-algae. Results are a range of product proposals for the personal care market, a novel personal care ingredient and the acquisition of a renowned customer for a service platform.
Initiating, acquiring funding and actively researching in the three years, 2,5 FTE project “Nature Inspired Design. Guiding product developments companies like Philips, Festo, Lely, Interface, Protix, through their circular product development processes, by developing and testing an approach based on Cradle to Cradle and Biomimicry. Acquiring, managing and executing projects for sustainable product development. As a Biomimicry specialist I helped companies like TenCate and Bosch Siemens Home Appliances to develop concepts that are sustainable and highly desirable at the same time. For companies and knowledge institutions like NXP, Umea Institute of Design (Sweden), Universitat Politecnica de Catalunya (Spain)), I trained professionals and students with tailor made workshops and trainings.
