I have been leading a team accountable for the corporate development and strategy of the generation and retail businesses. In addition, I was accountable for mobilising and leading the smart metering program in the UK. For the generation businesses, my team was driving the biomass conversion and mothballing of coal fired plants and the disposal of the nuclear business in the UK. We prepared our retail business for the smart environment including the development of digital customer engagement strategy and related business models with respect to channel strategy, sales strategy, retention strategy and proposition & brand development. I led the organisational redesign of the UK energy retail business from a functional structure to a customer centric P&L organisation centred around the key decisions in energy retail.
