My socials bio says, "Probably taller than you". Other than that, I've swum in data waters for more than 10 years, mostly in data lakes and streams but sometimes in data swamps as well. I'm currently leading analytics at Neko Health, where I'm building the teams and processes that turn Neko’s data into smarter decisions, better products, and ultimately, healthier lives at scale. Before that, I collected almost all Data Professional titles at Bolt, from Data Analyst to Data Engineer, Analytics Engineer to Analytics Manager, and lately, Senior Data Engineer to Data Platform Engineering Manager. I still need to figure out how I missed the Data Scientist role. Outside of working hours, I'm a father, husband, and owner of two dogs. I like to read, write, and try out all kinds of sports. Leading multiple engineering teams in the Data Platform organisation to build the world's best data platform with data mesh architecture for 500+ internal users. The Data Platform Ingestion team enables seamless and scalable ingestion of internal and external data sources into the company's data lake, ensuring data is accessible, reliable, and secure. The Data Platform Insights team provides a cost-effective, secure, and scalable infrastructure that enables data products in a data mesh architecture.
Helping to build data products/insights for all users inside the company and leading 200+ analysts across the organisation. - Taking care of all aspects of our BI tool (Looker) as an admin and the main contributor - Definition and maintenance of denormalized/aggregated views and data access management solutions. (dbt + Databricks + Airflow) - Knowledge sharing (Knowledge Repo) and data discoverability (Amundsen) - Making external data available (Fivetran) - Technical guidance and education of all other Data Analysts and Business teams
Built end-to-end data projects for clients like Adcash, Creditstar, Eesti Meedia, Synlab, Valmos, Bellus, and others. The main framework was to build ETL to get the client's data, store it in the data warehouse (PostgreSQL or client preference), and build analytics (Tableau and Python) on top of it. As a first employee, I also handled project management from task planning, time tracking, to billing.
