- Direct a team of 10 Outreach Committee members in planning and hosting 6 annual WICS Outreach events. - Mentor and guide 30+ K–12 students per event, fostering minority representation in technology and building technical skills. - Oversee event logistics, risk management, content development, and catering coordination. - Collaborate with other WICS committees to ensure seamless event execution and community engagement.
- Organize and execute 6+ outreach events every year, encouraging 30+ local K-12 students to pursue education in computer science. - Lead engaging presentations introducing younger students to coding fundamentals using Scratch. - Teach high school students web development concepts using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and React.
- Foster an inclusive environment and collaborate on initiatives to support the professional and academic growth of women in computer science. - Organize events and workshops to provide valuable skills and networking opportunities, while building a strong, supportive community.
- Perform exploratory data analysis and build predictive models (logistic regression, Cox proportional hazards, gradient boosting) in R on real-world datasets, including EHRs and the All of Us research database - Designed and implemented an interactive dashboard to track business development metrics (client pipeline, proposal stages, meeting activity, timelines), improving data accessibility and decision-making - Apply statistical methods and data preprocessing techniques to support retrospective and observational study design - Develop reproducible analysis workflows and generate technical reports to communicate model performance and insights
- Coordinated the communication between 12 logistics organizers and planning for UCI’s women-centric hackathon with 200+ attendees. - Led logistics team in managing hacker applications, developing a detailed task timeline, organizing the event, and overseeing the venue setup to ensure a seamless hackathon experience.
- Design and build responsive user-friendly front end interfaces using Typescript, Vue.Js and Javascript. - Managing both backend and frontend through Laravel and MySQL Database. - Utilize modern development practices including code reviews, CI/CD and automated testing.
- Gained proficiency in Javascript, HTML, and CSS through an intensive 3-week summer program. - Developed 8 dynamic website projects, applying skills acquired from live virtual courses.
