Building a new multi product facility for gene therapy products in Leiden, including the development of a fully operational Manufacturing organization for both Drug Substance and Drug Product operations, Tech Transfer, Operational Readiness and delivery of Engineering and Phase 2-3 batches
Plant Manager (200+ FTE) of Johnson & Johnson’s manufacturing facility for vaccines in Leiden, The Netherlands. Accountable for the entire Drug Substance manufacturing organization who delivered Janssen’s COVID-19 vaccine successfully to market. Including upscale and extension of existing Facility and organisation from clinical supply level to the standards for commercial and high volume vaccine manufacturing.
Accountable for all technical aspects of the Janssen Vaccines site in Leiden including; Engineering, Maintenance & Calibration, Automation, Validation. Responsibilties included: - Managing a multidisciplenary team of 40+ FTE - on time delivery of scheduled engineering projects within budget, quality and safety guidelines. - execution of preventive & corrective maintenance for production systems and lab equipment, utility systems and automated system, including 24/7 technical site support. - Ensure safety and compliance for the responsible area's - Support the site's strategic plans with structured scenario's scenario's & transparent plans and solutions - Multi million budget ownership, inlcuding operational costs as an investment portfolio.
- Leading a group of Engineers & technicians (10+ FTE) - Responsible for complete project portfolio to introduce the first Drug Substance production line in the new production plant
- Lead engineer for new production lines and upgrade/improvements of existing lines - Development, engineering, commissioning & implementation of new manufacturing technologies for parental products. - Fill/finish specialist
Development, engineering, testing and implementation of production equipement and material handeling systems.
Supervisor maintenance team for packaging & labelling in plant 3
Material Handling Maintenance Engineer in Plant 2. Responsible for all maintenance aspects on the entire material handling system including 24/7 stand-by duty and lead Engineer for the bi-annual maintenance shutdown period.
