A qualified Electrical Engineer, I also hold a Postgraduate Diploma of Management from Deakin University. Whilst enjoying my time as an engineer, for the last 12 years I have used my skills in Manufacturing, Supply Chain Management, Procurement and Project Management. I am a critical thinker, able to identify and solve problems systematically, as well as skilled at managing change. As a senior manager, I have successfully led diverse teams to achieve positive business outcomes. A close-knit team with complimentary skills provides a formula for success. I am well known for my ability to build an effective team and pride myself on exceptional leadership qualities. I have extensive knowledge in Lean Management and Team Building Skills. It is my belief that building and maintaining relationships forms the cornerstone of a successful business. Dedicating time to work with business partners to ensure business goals are clear and achievable whilst maintaining mutual respect and trust is crucial. I am a passionate person who has lived in Tasmania most of my working life. Open minded, creative, original in my approach to work and with a love of learning and growth mindset, I am optimistic about the possibilities that lie ahead with the many opportunities Tasmania has to offer. A dedicated family man with 2 adult children, I believe in contributing to the community. I have recently been involved in mentoring UTAS students in the workplace.
