About

Based in Tokyo and Seoul, I lead Blue Bottle Coffee’s Japan and Korea businesses and the broader Northeast Asia region, with full P&L responsibility across two of the company’s most important international markets. As President and Executive Director, I oversee 50+ cafés, two roasteries, two production kitchens, and an organization of approximately 1,000 employees across operations, production, development, and corporate functions. I am accountable for end-to-end business performance across café operations, supply chain, roasting, product and menu development, merchandising, digital commerce, partnerships, localized brand execution, and new market growth. Japan’s roasting platform also supplies roasted coffee to Blue Bottle operations across Hong Kong, Singapore, and other Asia-Pacific markets, extending operational responsibility beyond my direct markets. My focus is scaling premium consumer businesses while protecting craft, quality, guest experience, and brand equity—combining operational discipline, local relevance, and commercial performance to build sustainable long-term growth. Before Blue Bottle Coffee, I held senior leadership positions across CASETiFY, Amazon Prime Video, BAT, and Ogilvy, and held brand marketing positions at Coca Cola (US & Japan), and Unilever, leading business transformation, P&L management, digital commerce, brand growth, and product development across Asia, Europe, and North America.
