Greater Groningen Area
I studied Management & Organisation at the University of Groningen and my final research project was to do with the use of IT in educational institutions. I started working in Higher Education in 1997 and have focused on the area of education logistics. Education logistics touches many areas of operation within an institution. I connects with all levels and am able to help them with making changes to their operation and way of thinking. I am very passionate about my area of expertise and love to share knowledge to improve the sector. I recognize and acknowledge trends in Higher Education (e.g. more flexibility and individualized timetables). I like to challenge institutions to deliver a better student experience that also takes into account the interests of instructors. Next to my daily work I make time to do scientific research in timetabling for education, with which I try to improve the sector. I am also a guest lecturer and mentor at the University of Twente. I have an open personality. I feel at home with senior managers of institutions but also like to work with people that are involved with the daily operation of timetabling. I am Director of In Principo, a company that focuses on education logistics in Higher Education. I'm self-motivated, professional, enthusiastic, a team player and have a 'can do' attitude. Specialties: Syllabus Plus / Syllabus+ / S+, Administrative Organisation, Project Management, Education Sector, Change Management.
