From 2019 till 2021 part of ENGIE Group in Paris and responsible to develop new business in Carbon Capturing Utilization and Storage (CCUS) and Connectivity. From 2021 until mid 2023 part of the new Equans corporate organisation when the carve out of ENGIE was official. Building up an Innovation & Digital team from scratch. Focussed on Hydrogen, Energy monitoring and optimization, Heat pumps, Predictive maintenance and Electrification/E-Grids. Created innovative culture by organizing Empower Innovation Awards and Webinars with +800 innovators contributed. Between 2022 and 2026 established new Storage business unit part of Equans Solar & Storage. Within 3,5 years achieved 15 projects awarding spread over UK, France, Netherlands, Australia with total capacity of 4GWh. P&L responsible with great performance results.

Responsible and accountable to develop the new business unit dedicated for utility scale energy storage. EQUANS aims to be THE key EPC partner for international customers in Solar and Storage. We design build and maintain Storage assets standalone or co-located with Solar. Our added value is the system integration, HV-expertise and combination with Solar PV. This central unit has all battery expertise inhouse to successful connect storage project to local grids. Together with our local footprint we deliver the projects safe, on time and within budget. Since 2023 we have more than 2.5GWh under contract in UK, Netherlands, Belgium and France. Expansion to Germany, Australia and US is part of our commercial roadmap for coming two years.

Within New Business Factory we developed new business for ENGIE with an eco-system of start-ups, partners and co-investors. Lead Carbon Capture Utiliziation (CCU) Developed CCU Business Plan to scale within five years >100MEUR. Responsible for business pilot at biomethane plant in France to confirm hypotheses (value of biogenic CO2, position in value chain, route-to-market). Lead Connectivity Developed new innovative proposals for customers (Industry 4.0, Smart Cities, Smart Buildings) On behalf of Corporate Venture Capital Fund (ENGIE New Ventues) Board Director for ENGIE M2M. Initiated and closed strategic deal for financial exit of start-up M2M
ENGIE Ventures and Integrated Solutions (EVIS) was responsible for new business development and innovation in The Netherlands. I was responsible for the new strategic propositions in Smart Buildings and Smart Maintenance. EVIS was initiating and accelerating new business for Energy & Services focussed on Digital, Decentralized and Decarbonisation.
Integrated Facility Management (IFM) was in 2014 a new market position for ENGIE (former Cofely). My responsibility as director IFM was to develop this Business Unit in The Netherlands in close cooperation with the ENGIE international development team. ENGIE delivers integrated solutions by main contracting technical and hospitality services which means a single point of contact for the customer creating a strategic partnership. Upto 2014 I was responsible for consultancy company ABC Nova (former ABC Management Groep) of which I was the last four years statutory director and shareholder. During these difficult economic times I had a deep dive learning in agility and accountability as entrepreneur. This consultancy company is specialized in real estate, project management in construction.
