Hi, I'm Erik! I studied physics because I was curious about nature, but I started having a lot of fun with the electronics and machines in our laboratories. So apart from physics, I am now experienced with: * Software Development * Windows and Linux administration * CI/CD * Network Engineering * Machine Learning * Electronics & Mechanics * Circuit board design and production * Low level coding * Automation, ranging from microcontrollers to high performance computers * Cyber security * Pentesting * HPC administration * Public relations Whatever I currently work on, I'm always motivated to strike up new relations and projects with exterior partners, be they from the arts, industry or science.
An absolute dream job of mine - I took me over five years to find a job like this. I get to administrate a network of seismological measurement devices, which means development and IT work behind the scenes - and drive 4WD vehicles out into the field (e.g., into the Alps, Slovakia or other beautiful places) to set up and maintain the stations. I also get to work with the data that the stations provide. It's just awesome.
Expert support for e-learning at the university. Creation and Administration of Multiple Choice Exams for Physics and Mathematics, using Moodle. Using LaTeX to make beautiful exams, and Python/bash/sed/awk for housekeeping. Sometimes PHP/HTML/Javascript (for Moodle e.g.) come in handy. Processing the data and creating statistics. There's a *lot* of data in e-learning!
