Hired to scale Google's Security Operations business (Google Chronicle, VirusTotal, Siemplify, Mandiant Threat Intel and Attack Surface Management). Executive sponsor for Google’s $5.4B acquisition of Mandiant. Led strategy, organization alignment, compensation, legal, sales strategy, partnerships, back-office systems integration and more. Unified silo'd products into 2 product lines (Google SecOps, Google TI) and accelerated growth. Incubated and launched Google CyberShield - a whole government solution for defense against adversaries. Incubated and launched the Gemini for Security platform – a specialized LLM focused on security, trained with all the IP of Google and Mandiant - and built on top of Google’s Gemini models.
Hired to transform Microsoft’s Security Response Center (MSRC) to increase focus on cloud. Responsible for Azure security & compliance as well as incident response for all Microsoft divisions. Led the Incident Response function for Microsoft through a time of significant industry security events including WannaCry, Spectre/Meltdown, SolarWinds and more. Co-founded Sentinel, the Gartner MQ leader in SIEM and fastest security product to reach $100M ARR. Added responsibility for Azure’s Secret/Top Secret US Government cloud, Cloud Security Portfolio (Sentinel, Defender) and Defender for Identity and Defender for Cloud Apps (part of E5 Security Suite). Led >$500M RiskIQ acquisition and integration – a key part of early multi-cloud CNAPP strategy.
