As someone who has been fortunate to be involved in IT through several different eras, I have always believed that there is a solution to every challenge presented. Originally a Unix Engineer for a regional ISP during the dotcom era, working on and with certain technologies in their infancy. Highlights include the management of DEC Alpha farms with a shared NFS back-end and porting the BSD chroot jail system to Solaris 7. With a pivot to Time Warner Cable, that is when my career with Windows really started. Deploying Active Directory on Server 2000 from the ground up for the Northeast Ad/Sales division of TWC. While there was awarded employee of the month in February 2005 for building out a web-based php front-end for searching Active Directory. The next 14 years of my career would be spent working within the NYS Unified Court System, the judicial branch of for the state. Over my tenure became the identity architect for the entire state as well as managed the Windows Server Infrastructure Group, driving all decisions regarding Microsoft technologies. Maintaining a highly resilient on-premises environment, was key in driving cloud adoption and strategies for aggressive moves towards Azure PaaS solutions. Since joining Microsoft, I see a new level of opportunity to bring my expertise, knowledge, and analytical skills to our customers, and have been afforded the ability to work within my passion - identity. Highlights include presenting a Microsoft Tech Talk on Passwordless authentication, contributions to our technical documentation and community articles, working on multiple teams to develop and build out workshops and accelerators consumed by thousands of customers a year to accelerate their own identity journeys.

Providing architectural sessions, advisories, formal assessments, strategy, proof of concept and production implementations of modern identity with Azure Active Directory - covering a range of topics including MFA and conditional access, privileged access, identity protection, Zero Trust, hybrid identity, application authentication modernization with SAML/OAuth/OIDC, B2B/B2C, application proxy, passwordless authentication with Windows Hello for Business and FIDO2, managed identities, identity governance, as well as other components of the identity lifecycle such as hybrid user management, Active Directory, and AD FS. Focusing on education of customer IT pros, lead the development of and contribute to the development of formal proactive service offerings for Azure Active Directory, covering Windows Hello for Business and passwordless authentication, Conditional Access, and application migration from AD FS and other identity providers to Azure AD.
