Worked on the Autohaul project; a program to drive a train autonomously. The project had an object oriented focus and was developed using Agile development practices. This involved working with force models, sil-2 code, and complex AI systems. Met CMMI and ISO standards, while writing maintainable and well documented code with high unit test coverage.
Worked as part of a small team developing and debugging software used in train engineer training programs and simulations. Worked remotely, completing weekly tasks and goals. The project I worked on was a graphical simulation of geological data. Specifically taking railroad track sheets and generating a 3D environment from it. I was responsible for making sure simulations displayed data correctly, building and maintaining databases used to generate the simulation, and implementing new features and optimizations. Codebase was largely C++ coupled with python scripts. Developed for various Linux platforms.
