I am a former U.S. Navy Nuclear Electronics Technician and Reactor Operator with over six years of experience in operations, training, and technical troubleshooting. During my service I trained and qualified over 40 personnel, led over 100 drills certifying over 30 watchstanders, and performed corrective and preventative maintenance on insrumentation key to reactor safety. These experiences resulted in strong technical problem solving, clear communication skills, and procedural compliance. I am currently enrolled at UW-Madison pursuing B.S. in Nuclear Engineering looking to expand my understanding of nuclear theory and reactor physics. My long-term goal is to promote nuclear energy as a safe and reliable method for a cleaner future.
Diagnosed and repaired over 800 EEGs used by hospitals across the world to provide quality care to patients. Verified correct operation and quality of testing equipment used in the repair of EEGs. Assisted in the rewriting of testing procedures to provide clarity and ensure correct operation of EEGs.
Developed and implemented simulations on over 100 drills resulting in the certi cation over 30 operators in the safe continued operation of 2 critical reactors. Coordinated with other drill team members to safely execute drills on a critical reactor. Debriefed drills with other drill team members and watch team members to maximize training value by developing lessons learned.
Trained and quali ed over 40 personnel on watchstanding and nuclear theory. Performed preventative and corrective maintenance on critical instrumentation and control equipment, maintaining high system reliability. Conducted control room operations, including reactor startups, steady-state operations, drills, and shutdowns, complying with NNPP standards. Qualified reactor operator, shutdown reactor operator, and drill team.
Revised and mananged full technical library and additional satellite libraries to certify technical manuals for training and operation for use of over 500 personnel. Developed and implemented an organizational tool for the storage and reference of all Departmental logs.
