About

Visual creative, problem solver and business opportunity accelerator; Musical creative, experimentalist in all things, and partial to pop music and the recent new wave; Multi-instrumentalist, composer, guitar player, songwriter, and poet, serial organizer and constant optimist. I have been a creative ever since I can remember, always drawing, writing, scribbling... making or creating something. My interests are varied and expansive: in the process of guiding my life to date, I have become a highly organized events producer, manager, and marketer; I was a Madison Avenue regular, working my way through J Walter Thompson, Ogilviy and Mather, BBD&O, Widen & Kennedy and a few hundred boutique agency assignments and at the same time I was a framer in SoHo for MoMA, Mary Boone, The OK Harris Gallry and Leo Castelli. I've done my share of successful marketing and communications work in B2B, consumer and lifestyle assignments, and I am an experienced Corporate Communications professional, with an extensive body of work in the Tech Industry for Apple, Oracle, Sybase, Informix, and a hundred start-ups in Reston, VA. My skills include just about every creative program in Adobe Suit including Quark, and a few others Along the way I have become a presenter, a speaker, an experienced and engaging Product Evangelist and a cheerleader for AI, Data Storage, Networking and Tech in general. As the local movie art houses were vanishing, I created "The Georgetown Film Festival" in Washington, DC and we eventually produced over 700 indoor and outdoor film festivals, music festivals, multi-stage shows, and cultural events.

Playing guitar in Boston was the most exhilarating experience... I had come back from Europe and 2 years in Germany and Denmark playing the rock concert circuit and I was totally alone but loved playing on the streets and meeting people, seeing Bonnie Raitt hauling her guitar across Harvard Square to play happy hours at Jacks, music was everywhere, Garland Jefferies at The Inn Square Men's Bar, The Cars at The Elliott Lounge... magic. Love writing songs, playing music and being IN the world, not merely living ON it. The Atomics started with a few ads in The Boston Phoenix and ended up a really powerful trio that played all over New England. I was working as a sign painter and at a copy shop - CopyCop - during the day, hustling shows around town at night, and we ended up as the house band at Cantone's and regular punks at The Rat, The Club in Central Square and we rehearsed in a South Boston loft.
